I was born in S.E.London in 1947( the first male to be born in England), joined the Royal Air Force as a Boy Entrant in 1963 aged 16yrs. I left the R.A.F in 1974 and served as a police officer in the Hertfordshire Police for 2yrs. After the police I worked in various security jobs including The British Museum and British Aerospace. In 1991 we moved to Newark from Hemel Hempstead, where for about 14yrs I was employed by the Nottinghamshire Police first as a traffic warden and then a community support officer before taking early retirement in 2007. For about 16yrs I was an adult warrant officer with the Air Cadets both here and in Hertfordshire plus some time as a civilian instructor. The photo shows me as the standard bearer of The Air Bridge Association(this being one of the only recent photos of me) which duty I have been carrying out for about 12 yrs and hope to continue to do so for a few more years.I have been married since1970 to Jean and have 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter. I enjoy music, walking and birdwatching.
