I live in the Languedoc just north of Béziers, and we have in our village a monument to Captain Peter Fowler who was killed here in August 1944 soon after being parachuted in to help the local maquis. His grave is in the communal cemetery at Moureze, just 25 kilometres north of here and we are frequent visitors, especially on Armistice Day.
