Graham Parsons

My name is Graham Parsons. I joined the Royal Navy at 15 as a medic, following in the family tradition of seafarers serving at the Royal Naval Hospital Haslar and various shore establishments in the Portsmouth area as well as a draft to the Royal Marine Commando's as a medic. I was always interested in the world wars from an early age and have a passion for anything connected with the armed services. In more recent times I have researched my ancestors war histories, which led me to discover the British War Memorial Project. Although I left the Royal Navy some years ago I am still a medic working for the Home office as a Health Care Officer. I'm proud to be associated with the project as a volunteer for Portugal. I fully support the projects aims as an ex-service man and feel that we should never forget the ultimate sacrifice made by so many young men for their country and our freedom.
