Norfolk . I first became aware of war graves when I was a student. At that time, I was only interested in the badges on the headstones & photographed them. After I'd retired, I decided to research local war memorials. As I was doing this, I noticed war graves in churchyards & also discovered this site. So I decided to become a volunteer & follow both interests as a tribute to those who died in the World Wars & other conflicts. To me, it's important to get beyond the name to the person, & to give them back their identity.
