Howard and Lorraine Wootton
Salisbury - My interest started in war graves when researching my father’s two cousins who were killed in Normandy in 1944. I then volunteered for several projects to assist in photographing war graves in south Wiltshire & wherever my travels take me. Now with the assistance of my wife Lorraine, we can cover the larger cemeteries. My other interest is my grandfathers military career, He fought at the first battle of Ypres in 1914, with the Wiltshires and was captured by the Germans & interned as a POW. Granddad never mentioned any of this, so research has been long, but very fulfilling.
