Force: Merchant Navy

Details: 06/07/41 Panel 74 Research undertaken over the last few years by Billy McGee and others found that this young boy's body was actually landed ashore, which was found in the ships Log Book. His death cert. which proved his body was brought ashore was also found. He was traced to be buried in Edinburgh ,Comley Bank Cemetery, Scotland and a temporary cross was placed on his grave until an official headstone from the CWGC is erected. A birth certificate will hopefully record him as the youngest recorded war casualty, as to the official record of Raymond Victor Steed, age 14 years & 207 days
