Details: Died of wounds received at the Battle of the Somme 13th July 1916. Age 43. Son of Abram H. and Helen Dean La Monte of Bridgeport Connecticut U.S.A. Attended Princeton University and Hamilton College. Served in the South African War. Previously a member of British South African Mounted Police. A monument has been erected in the family plot at Binghampton New York U.S.A. II. B. 83A.
