Educated at Abbot Hall, Kent's Bank, Lancs., and Wellington College, Berks. Student at Aspatria Agricultural College and the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College, Edinburgh. Enlisted Sept., 1914, in U.P.S. Bn. Royal Fusiliers. Gazetted in Lancashire Fusiliers, Sept., 1915. Panel 33.
