Details: Died of wounds 10-Nov-1917 Aged 18 Son of J. Monroe Smith and Kate Smith, of 9136, Lafayette Blod West, Detroit, Mich., U.S.A. Served in United States Cavalry on Mexican Border in 1916. Enlisted in 142nd Bn. Scottish Highlanders, Canadian Inf. His brother, Leon R. Smith, of the 6th United States Marines, also fell at Belleau Wood, 20th June,1918. Panel 18 - 24 - 26 - 30.
