M C 27th November 1917. Age 20. Son of Sir Herbert Samuelson K.B.E. of 58 Grosvenor St. London. Educated at Eton and Sandhurst. Enlisted in East Surrey Regt. Sept. 1914 but obtained Commission in Coldstream Guards. Previously wounded in 1916. Panel 2. Family was of recent Jewish heritage
