Details: Killed in action at Fontaine-les-Croisilles 24th April 1917. Age 34. Son of Benjamin and Cassandra Ormerod of Sandywood Pendlebury Manchester. Manchester Grammar School and B.A. Durham University. Was about to be ordained by the Bishop of Southwell when war broke out; with the permission of the Bishop he enlisted August 1914. VII. C. 14.
