Details: Killed in action at the Battle of Langemarck 17th August 1917. Age 33. Son of William and Amy de Beaumont Beaumont-Checkland and grandson of the Comte de Beaumont. Enlisted 1914; volunteered for Infantry 1916. B.A. Barrister-at-Law Inner Temple. Led up a small reinforcement to hold the line against a strong counter-attack and fell within four miles of the Memorial. Panel 3.
