Son of Joseph Knight and Mrs. Knight (nee Holt) of Longfield Hartshill Stoke-on-Trent; husband of Mary Luxton Knight (nee Jeffery) of The Mount Eccleshall Stafford. Educated at Rugby. Joined the 1st Volunteer Bn. North Staffordshire Regt. in 1883 and ultimately became Lt. Col. and Hon. Col. of the 5th Bn. North Staffordshire Regt. (T.F.). Panel 103 to 105.
