Details: 28th - 29th September 1915. Age 24. Only child of the late Henry F. Getting and Ann Ethel Getting formerly of Hollington Ross Herefordshire. Educated at May Place Preparatory School Malvern Wells and Bradfield College Berks. Gazetted from Special Reserve of Officers Jan. 1914 to the 3rd Bn. Royal Berks Regt. and passing as 2nd Lt. and Army Entrance Examination in June 1914 was gazetted to 1st Bn. Royal Berks Regt. Oct. 1914. Panel 93 to 95.
