Details: 01/06/44 Age 27 I. R. 2. Son of John Cameron Haggart and Grace Evelyn Haggart, of Kurrajong Heights, New South Wales, Australia. Donald was born 22 Sep 1917 Singleton NSW Australia. He was one of the ground crew with the 451 ( Hurricane or Spitfire ) Squadron RAAF, serving in the Middle East. The squadron was operating from Poretta, Corsica, and he was severely wounded in an air raid on the 12 May 1944. He was flown to Naples where he died from his wounds on 1 June 1944.
