Details: 13th June 1944. Age 22. Son of William and Agnes Gribben of Belfast. Joint grave 22A "In memory of the crew of Lancaster PA986, which crashed on its way home on June 13th, 1944 near this location. Sgt. K.C. Barber, 23 years of age, radio-operator Sgt. T. Gribben, 22 year of age, gunner F/O D.F.W. Keyte, 20 years of age, navigator Sgt. D. Lloyd, 19 years of age, gunner Sgt. H.J. Plant, 23 years of age, mechanic Sgt. W. Wallinger, 23 years of age, bomb aimer P/O A. Williams DFC, 23 years of age, pilot They too fell for our freedom. May 3rd, 1995."
